You can eliminate fax machines and still get faxes
From PUBLISHING POYNTERS Book and Information-Marketing News and Ideas by Dan Poynter. October 15, 2005. http://www.ParaPub.com
Check out http://www.maxemail.com/ if you have occasional fax use but don’t want a fax machine anymore. They have a 30 day f*ree trial, a US$14.85 per year facility for light usage and a US$69 per year service for heavier users.
You receive faxes as either a .tiff or PDF document (your choice) by email, and send by going to their website and uploading your documents from your computer system. They accept many different formats.
The only downside is that if you have a physical piece of paper to send, you need to scan it into your computer and then upload it to MaxeMail. If you are on the road and near a fax, you can fax a document to yourself, which turns it into an emailed PDF file in your system.
